"Even if the white stick is my own, my present visual impairment (in 2002) dose not require me to use it in my daily life. Although, in Borg, as I look straight ahead, I do not see the tennis balls on the ground. RP, Retinitis Pigmentosa, is a progressive eye disease that causes, amongst other things, tunnel vision and night blindness. My field of vision at the moment (2002) consists of approximately 15° sight straight ahead, at 60% visual accuracy, which is of course reduced immensely in the dark." Anna |
